India’s Playing XI for the third test match

Every India versus Australia cricket series has been fiery and this one is no different. In the current test series India started with a great victory but in the next match Virat Kohli’s squad lost his momentum and team lost the 2nd match. The hosts are now high on confidence after achieving a strenuous and morale boosting victory. Contrarily team India is still facing trouble with its top order.

Openers K.L Rahul and Murali Vijay are continuously giving poor performances. Virat Kohli and management are hoping that team will do well in next two matches and eventually win their maiden series down under. The pressure is on Virat Kohli now, to choose his best playing XI. Here is the squad, which may be seen in next game.

Mayank Agarwal

The Bengaluru boy is doing well in domestic matches as well as IPL, but nobody has seen him play in white jersey. The Indian management has already axed Murali Vijay and KL Rahul giving Mayank Aggarwal a spot in playing XI . So it is sure that we will see Mayank in 3rd test match with the hope that he can get India to a great start.

Cheteshwar pujara

He is one of the best batsman of Indian team in test match cricket. He was fantastic in the first match although in the second match he was more tentative. Pujara is a match winning player who takes his time to settle at the crease. He will be looking to put the failure of second match behind him and roar in the 3rd test match again.

Hanuma vihari

Hanuma Vihari is a good domestic player who is doing really well in this test series. He shows great skill and fearlessness in both bowling and batting which makes him an asset in the playing XI. Hanuma also has the ability to face new ball so expect him to open with Mayank Aggarwal.

Virat kohli

Indian captain Virat kohli is only one step behind  his idol Sachin Tendulkar’s feat. He would be eager to achieve this  new Milestone and make cricketing history. If Virat gets century in next test match then he will equal, Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 12 century in a calendar year. No other batsman has achieved this feat after the master blaster and if Virat does it then India will be in a commanding position to win this test match.

Ajinkya Rahane

He is the only batsman who has batted fearlessly through out the series. When every Indian batsman struggled in front of the Aussie pace attack, Ajinkya seemed to dominate and counter attack them. He is showing great defensive technique with some aggressive shots, when he needs. He is acting as the backbone of the middle order and virat has belief in him that he has potential to take the team out of trouble.

Rishabh Pant

This wicket keeper batsman has surprised everybody with his hard hitting technique and fearlessness. In the past few matches pant has shown his aggressive character but team needs more from him. Behind the stumps his contribution is remarkable but from the bat he has not delivered as much as he has potential to. Virat is definitely looking forward to more from pant’s bat.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma looked like he would take on the Australian bowlers and score a big one in the first innings of the first test. However he could not negotiate the tough minutes in the middle and fell once again. In the second innings he was again caught in a soft dismissal. He will be hoping to correct that and post a big score so that fans chant his name loud and clear. This is his chance to shine in the playing XI.

Ravinder Jadeja

India sorely missed Ravinder Jadega in the team in the second test match. This question over his absence was raised in many people’s mind that why Ravinder Jadeja is not in the team. We will tell you the answer of this question. During practice match Jadeja had shoulder Injury, so he wasn’t fully fit for playing. But know it might be possible that we can see Jaddu in playing eleven. If Jaddu is in team then Virat will have a player who can both bowl and bat well.

Mohammed Shami

Shami performed exceptionally well in Perth and now the team looking for the same magic in melbourne. Shami is a good seam bowler and he has great ability to reverse swing the ball. If India wants to win the 3rd test, Shami will be integral to the team’s success and playing XI.

Ishant Sharma

Ishant Sharma, the old warhorse of the team has been doing great in last two matches. However, Virat will expect more wickets from him. The Delhi boy has potential to send the timber flying he just need to show more zeal.

Jasprit Bumrah

This young fast bowler proved that he has the ability to play all formats of cricket. Every time when team needs a breakthrough, Jaspit Bumrah does the job. In last two matches Bumrah’s line or length was straight and disciplined which did not give the batmen much of a chance to make runs. Hee will be hoping to add to his tally of king wickets. He should be take his ball away from the batsman, it will increase the chances of get outside edge.

With India’s playing XI all but confirmed, Australia too have made one change replacing Peter Handscomb with Mitchel Marsh.
